Purpose: According to the author, the purpose is to "improve student performance while in school."
Audience: The book is written for nursing students. Information is contributed by consultants and content experts in the field.
Features: The book covers each system with select disease processes. The diseases are defined with potential causes, pathophysiology, assessment findings, and management, both medical and nursing. Highlights and key points are listed on each page.
Assessment: I would recommend this book for nursing students to assist with them with organizing information. The content is basic and students need to use other resources to supplement content.
