About the Author

Mavis Reimer is an Associate Professor of English at the University of Winnipeg, where she teaches Victorian studies and children's literature. She is the co-author, with Perry Nodelman, of the third edition of The Pleasures of Children's Literature. In her current project, she is one of a team of researchers investigating the representation of home in Canadian children's literature.
