K-Gr 3—In these attractive volumes, brief, clear instructions are illustrated with easy-to-follow, color photos. Each book starts with an introduction about the featured culture and then presents simple crafts inspired by it. The activities are well suited for primary-grade children, and the supplies needed are inexpensive and easily found at craft stores. Unfortunately, though the crafts are not difficult, they are also not always very authentic. For example, the first project in African Art is presented as a Kwanzaa celebration craft, yet Kwanzaa originated in America.
