About the Author

Dan Terry is a Missouri native, a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, and has been a police officer for 30 years. He began his paranormal adventures in the late 1970's, inspired by TV's Kolchak: The Night Stalker. He discovered that looking for invisible people and hearing voices in empty rooms did not help with promotions, and kept his hobby secret.

When TV's Ghost Hunters brought supernatural investigations into the mainstream, Dan once again started searching for spirits. Soon, he began writing about his adventures, becoming a contributing author for Haunted Times Magazine. Soon, he began writing books about the history and hauntings, starting with his first book Beyond The Shadows. This was followed by Missouri Shadows, Hermann Shadows, River Shadows, and Too Ornery To Die.
