About the Author

Jeff Henry was born in northern Pennsylvania, but has lived his entire adult life in and around Yellowstone National Park in southern Montana and northern Wyoming. In pursuit of Jeff's love of the outdoors and wintry weather, he has worked various jobs in and around Yellowstone Park for the past 40 years, jobs that included fishing guide, truck driver, maintenance man, wildlife researcher, tour guide, resource manager, park ranger, and many more. His favorite job, other than photography and writing, has undoubtedly been cutting the snow off the roofs of buildings in Yellowstone to prevent their collapse, a task that would qualify as yet another passion and one in which he has indulged for 38 winters. He intends to continue the roof clearing work until he is absolutely no longer able to do it. When not out and about in nature and wintry landscapes, Jeff lives with his daughter Mariah in a log house of his own construction on the banks of the Yellowstone River in southern Montana.
