But, Dear Caregiver, you are tough. You are smart. You are capable of much more than you know. This journal is for you. It's a place to record your feelings and thoughts and questions.

About the Author

Dana-Susan Crews grew up mostly in the great state of Texas, but she has lived in several states and even spent two years living in Mexico after graduating from college with a B.A. in Journalism. She is also a certified English and Spanish teacher. At the age of seven, she was introduced to pediatric cancer when her baby brother was diagnosed with a very rare cancer. She has spent a lifetime raising awareness and funding for cancer research with a special emphasis on childhood cancers and blood cancers. In October 2003, when her husband was diagnosed with stage four, highly aggressive, completely incurable non-Hodgkin lymphoma, her passion for this cause was increased.

Crews has authored many articles in magazines, newspapers, and online health journals. She uses her experience with cancer and sport to bring attention to the world of health and fitness. An Ironman triathlete, marathoner, and competitive swimmer, she continues to use her "healthy body to fight for those whose bodies are eaten up with cancer". Crews and her family raise funds for many cancer organizations and proceeds from all of their works are donated to help bring an end to cancer for people of every age.
