Sushi has been a well known and popular food throughout Asia for centuries, but it has only been in recent years
that this food has become known in the West. Today it has become extremely popular. If you visit almost any
Japanese restaurant there is a good chance that you will see sushi represented on the menu. There are also
many restaurants that focus specifically on the preparation of sushi. Such restaurants are commonly known as
sushi bars.
