Overview

The world of Ligo is ancient, even for this sphere of planets. It's endowed with a rich primordial magic. Magic that connects all living things together. Throughout history, the peoples of Ligo have yielded magic in wonderous and unique ways. This created a sense of balance and harmony on the planet. In recent times people have abandoned magic, pursuing technology to alter themselves and the world around them. Now the connection between Ligo and the people has been broken. And the natural state of the planet is out of balance. Because of this magic on Ligo had diminished over time. Until recently it has slowly grown stronger, and an awakening is happening. The magical guardians of Ligo are coming out of a long hibernation to a world they don't recognize. Magic is emerging in the young people of Ligo. They are experiencing things they don't understand, changing not only their lives but their understanding of the world around them. Soon they will face events that will alter the course of history. In the ensuing chaos, the young people find bonds of friendship that unite those with and without magic. And face enemies within that seek the destruction of the new world being created on Ligo.

Book
Tara walked happily along the path through the woods. She had always loved being outside in nature, and now she enjoyed it even more. Ever since receiving her invitation letter to attend Zenda things had changed for Tara. Her mind now sensed the world around her, the animals, the plants, the birds, all living things. She sensed their feelings and thoughts. It made her feel connected to the world, connected to nature. She wondered if these new abilities were tied to Zenda, would they stop when Zenda was over? She hoped not, she hoped it meant something truly special was happening.

Sabrina sat up, her mind fussy from experiencing another vision. She was confused, 'what was happening to her'. The visions started when the invitation letter to Zenda arrived. It was a bizarre feeling, without notice, she went into a trance. It wasn't just her mind seeing visions. It was like she was there, her senses all working, hearing, seeing, even smells and taste. At first, the visions were of her family, things that were about to happen. Her sister getting hurt in a bike accident, and her aunt's surprise visit. Today's vision was different, it was a person she didn't know, the prophet Wentu disappearing. And during the vision she heard a voice in the background calling her name. Someone named Yula. Sabring didn't know what it all meant. She felt as if her life was spinning out of control. It felt tied to Zenda, she hoped things would return to normal when Zenda was over.

Every fifty years, the people of Ligo gather to watch a magnificent event, Takara Shining. This year, the much-anticipated Takara Shining coincides with Zenda, an event celebrating a young person's graduation to adulthood. As the selected youths gather, they are excited and nervous to find what awaits them. But no one could have expected what occurred the night of the Takara Shining. As the youths recover from a devastating event, they will have to learn to embrace the unknown, trust each other, and most importantly themselves. Endowed with new gifts of magic they strive to embrace the changing world around them. Faced with the unknown they find both new friendships and new enemies.
