Overview

Devastated by the loss of her grandparents and the desertion of Lola, her girlfriend, Loni Wagner can no longer stay in her Southern Arizona hometown. A job offer sends her to a town on the Oregon coast where she settles comfortably in a new job as police lieutenant supervising a crew of five detectives and a dispatcher. She's comfortable, that is, until the day she recognizes her first lover, Jenna Davenport, at the booking desk. Jenna and Loni had spent two beautiful years together studying pre-law at Portland's Lewis and Clark College until one day Jenna packed up and disappeared without a trace. Loni never knew where she went.

When Jenna is arrested for murder, Loni feels compelled to prove her innocent. The two head for a wild ride in a dangerous tsunami of violence and treachery, facing unknown peril in unexpected places and an elusive someone who wants Jenna to rot in hell—with Loni beside her.

About the Author

Sue Hardesty was born and raised on the Arizona desert where she was either following her prospecting mom around, watching her pick-axe rocks, or riding horses with her dad helping him trail cattle. After college she moved to the Phoenix area and taught English and Communications for many years. Retirement took her out of the desert heat as she moved to the beautiful Oregon Coast where she and her partner now run their dog on the beach every morning. And where she even takes time to write a little. You can find her website here: www.SueHardestyBooks.com.
