When Diane Smith glances out her window one day and sees a mysterious car parked at her neighbor's house, she doesn't think much of it. She's got other things on her mind: her relationship with her husband, Roger, hasn't been the same since they received the heartbreaking news that they can't have children. Her career as a best-selling children's novelist has hit a wall, and she's not sure what to do next.
With so much free time on her hands, however, she can't help but wonder what's going on at the neighbors' house.
