Overview

Teach Yourself Singing If You Can Talk You Can Sing teaches anyone, any age how to tune their voice using sounds, words, sentences, songs and stories. Your voice can be tuned just like a guitar or a violin or a piano can be tuned. An out of tune voice does not sound musical and can not carry a tune or sing on key. Thousands and thousands of out of tune voices audition for American Idol and other talent and singing shows each year and go home with broken hearts and crushed dreams because their singing voices are out of tune. No judge ever tells them to go tune their voice so it will sound beautiful and musical.
Anyone who plays a guitar or a violin or a piano knows an out of tune instrument never sounds good, no matter how great the player is. Some people are born with speaking and singing voices that are in tune. Most are not. Their speaking voices work fine and may even sound beautiful and musical but when they sing their voice goes out of tune. If you can talk you can sing is true for every voice. The voice just needs extra tuning to stay in tune while singing.
Teach Yourself Singing If You Can Talk You Can Sing shows you step by step how to tune your voice so it is always in tune, both for speaking and singing. You can even tune your voice silently while reading, on the computer, at work or while watching television. Then you add sounds to tune your tongue, your lips, your jaw and sounds to keep your throat and vocal cords relaxed and free. Body Tuning Movements tune up your body so your body acts as a guitar amp and a human microphone for your voice.
Vocal Tuning works for everyone who can talk hum or make sounds with their voice. Small children can tune their voice, as well as young adults, teens, college students, adults and even seniors. Once your voice is tuned you just enjoy singing whatever songs you love. Teach Yourself Singing If You Can Talk You Can Sing. Tune Your Voice Start Singing Today.

About the Author

My childhood dreams were to play guitar, write songs and sing them. I have had a life so far full of musical and creative adventures doing so. It took a lot of work. My hands were too small to play the guitar till I was in high school. When I wrote my first songs and sang them. most said I could not sing but they liked the songs. I tried many different kinds of voice lessons, none of them helped my voice at all. Then in college I found a book written before World War 2 about Vocal Tuning. Tuning your book by using sounds. The book had an address near Chicago Illinois about taking a correspondence course in Vocal Tuning. I wrote to the address and to my surprise the same voice teacher from the 1930s wrote me back. She still taught voice lessons by mail and also in person. I studied with her by mail for a year and then would take a 4 hour train ride to Chicago on the weekends to take singing lessons in person. No one was laughing at my voice and my singing now. My voice range had doubled and my vocal carrying power could fill up a football stadium with no microphone needed. My voice teacher told me one day, I am not getting any younger and I am the last voice teacher teaching Vocal Tuning. I think you should write a new book on how to tune your voice and she gave me a large box of her vocal books and her teachers vocal books. My voice teacher had started teaching Vocal Tuning near Chicago in 1917 leaving Europe because of the looming World War 1. She had been invited to come and teach Vocal Tuning by her Voice Teacher who had discovered and invented Vocal Tuning in 1892 about 120 years ago. The 2 Vocal Tuning teachers opened up s singing school that taught Vocal Tuning from 1917 to 1990. My Voice Teacher who trained me to teach Vocal Tuning lived and taught into her 90's. I wrote my first singing book almost 40 years ago. Printing it myself on a friends old printing press. Me and my relatives hand colored the book covers with magic markers. It was just called Teach Yourself Singing and was 60 pages. I traveled around the USA doing singing workshops and selling the books out of the trunk of my car. A few years later I had a publishing contract and had a 150 page Vocal Tuning book. And promoted the book at the ALA Book Fairs. I got put in the bestseller authors row next to Art Linkletter and a brand new author Anne Rice with her first novel Interview With A Vampire. My book because a best seller in Hollywood at the Actors Bookshop and Hollywood Sheet Music.
