Angelo A. Rossetti serves as the Director of Tennis at Weston Racquet Club, An Ivan Lendl Tennis Center. He is a USPTA P1/Elite, PTR, MTM, & USTA High Performance & Mental Skills certified teaching professional, being first certified in 1992. Angelo, NLP & Mindfulness certified, studied to be a Dale Carnegie instructor. Elected in 2017 as one of the youngest Presidents of USTA Connecticut (2018-2020), he played Varsity tennis at Hamden HS en route to be a top Division I player at UCONN, where he earned a BS degree in Sports Science/concentration in Sports Mktg as did his brother Ettore. He won the USTA NE Sportsmanship Award in 2005 & was appointed to the USTA National Sportsmanship Task Force in 2019. In 2007, he & his identical twin brother, Ettore, were ranked #1 in New England Men's Open Doubles & Angelo earned 2007 USPTA Regional Teaching Pro of the Year & 2007 Open Player of the Year. He earned the National 2009 USPTA Tennis Industry Excellence Award, also for New England in 2008, as well as the National 2016 USPTA Lessons for Life Award by helping to raise over $112,000 for the nonprofit Save the Children. Angelo has coached women’s teams, captained & played on 5.0 & Open USTA men’s teams that have all gone to nationals. In August 2008, he & Ettore set the official Guinness World Records™ title for the Longest Tennis Rally totaling 25,944 continuous strokes, lasting 14 hours & 31 minutes. On Roger Federer’s birthday, August 8th of 2015, Angelo & his brother set their second Guinness World Records™ title for the Longest tennis volley rally, 30,576 volleys lasting 5 hours & 28 mins. The purpose of these record-breaking athletic feats was as fundraisers for charities. Angelo has spoken regularly at the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport, RI, where his record is featured in the permanent exhibits. Ettore is Angelo’s identical twin brother with whom he shares two Guinness World Records™ titles among other accomplishments. He has been a certified USPTA tennis teaching professional for more than 25 years. He founded the Student Sports Marketing Club while at UCONN, before working at the US Military Academy at West Point, NY. Ettore works at Save the Children & teaches at Weston Racquet Club. He lives in Shelton with his wife Soumia & children Adam & Jasmine.
