The Adventures of Mali and Keela: A Virtues Book for Children

As Mali, Keela, and Bongo sail the South Seas from Banana Island to Glow-Worm Cave, caring, trust, determination, and peacefulness are just a few of the many virtues they explore along the way.

This collection of thirteen beautifully crafted adventure stories captivates the imagination while inspiring children to discover the best within themselves. Each story visits four virtues, so that by the time our heroes sail home at the end of the book, fifty two virtues have been explored. Designed to be read aloud to young listeners, virtues are brought to life in these lively entertaining adventure tales.

At the end of each story is an interactive section containing a clear, age appropriate definition of the virtues featured in the preceding story. Thoughtful discussion questions provide the opportunity to draw the child into a meaningful conversation about the story and the virtues presented within. These tools foster a more profound understanding of the virtues, helping children put each virtue into context within their own experiences, while providing a rich environment for exploring the value of virtues in their life. The index at the back of the book is especially helpful to locate a particular virtue that would be applicable in a challenging situation.

The Adventures of Mali & Keela is a Gold Medal recipient of The Mom's Choice Awards. This award program recognizes authors and companies for their efforts in creating quality family-friendly media, products and services.

The book has received enthusiastic praise from parents and educators alike, with the Walt Disney Outstanding Elementary School Teacher of the Year laureate, Dara Feldman, referring to it as "an inspiring, creative and engaging book where life lessons and heart-warming stories come together."
