About the Author

I am the accomplished author of a previous literary work Titled: Articles of Improvement; Entailing the N Word and Sagging Pants, Published: 2/21/2011. My relatively new passion for writing has enabled me to recently complete my second writing project Titled: The African American Odyssey. I am the man-child product of the Bedford Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn, New York where I was born and reared in the early 1950s. I lived there with my parents and other siblings during my early childhood and until I was old enough to venture a mile away to my grandmothers house where I and my other siblings, to the delight of my grandmother, affectionately known as Momma or Mizz Effie, was the family matriarch in the absolute true essence of the word. She was like so many other African American grandmothers, the strong responsible and essential backbone of her family clan. To my own surprise, despite the distracting socio-economic challenges and overall disparity in the African American community from which I come, I somehow managed to complete high school and college in New York City acquiring knowledge and skills in Business Management, Political Science and related areas. As a young adult I engrossed myself in the studies of the Practical Application of Principles of Spiritual Living which ultimately inspired and propelled my pursuit to travel about the United States and abroad for advancement in knowledge and the broadening of my spiritual scope. My work experience includes a vast range of jobs and skills in areas such as; Sales and Letter of Credit Negotiation, to Law Enforcement, Crisis Intervention, Teaching, and Personal Fitness and Boxing Trainer. I have concluded the transient phase of my life and currently reside in the Fort Greene section of Brooklyn, N.Y. where I also execute my Islamic acts of devotion. I am a graceful father and an overjoyed grandfather of which Ive discovered and insist is the worlds best-kept secret. My experience and studies in the Practical Application of Principles of Spiritual Living has borne out the fact that some of the emotional problems confronting humanity such as: Hate, Murder, Drug Addiction, and the various other ills, require authentic spiritual counseling and supremely righteous guidance to strengthen moral values.
