The Art Patrols (a mystery suspense for children ages 8-12)
Due to his father’s influence, 11-year-old Brian Spencers is a young art enthusiast. He usually joins his father, Harvey Spencers, in art exhibitions which make him more fascinated with art.
One night, in an art exhibit held in Fernwood Gardens, Brian meets Jake Ackerman, a playful boy with the same age as his, visiting the museum together with his curious younger sister, Wincy, who has many questions about the sculpture collection. Jake accidentally collides with an art display and they try to fix the broken sculpture. Realizing it is hard to put the pieces back together, the three of them decide to report the incident to the curator of the museum. However, Brian, Jake and Wincy hear the curator, Mr. Thomas Willis and the art historian, Renee Fosters, who is also Jake and Wincy’s uncle, arguing over the fake sculptures displayed in the exhibit.
Will the kids be able to find a solution to their problem or another problem will come out after they heard the argument about the fake sculptures?
