This book was a little slow in the beginning but suddenly picked up in a good way. Great read! I recommend this for kids 13 and up. I'll definitely be looking forward to reading more of her books. (:

It was interesting to have a mermaid come from a world that does not understand the world on land. Usually other stories have the mermaid totally understanding the world outside their element.

This story is a bit off the beaten track, definitely quirky, which makes it interesting. It is quietly amusing and mildly shocking as we follow Zazzle from her home in the sea to her unfortunate stranding in the human world. She knows nothing about how to behave or what is appropriate and what isn't, and that lack of knowledge leads to a few funny moments with the man who found her and took her home...she calls him "Human. This unusual story is definitely worth reading!"
