About the Author

Fr. Rudolf V. D’Souza, a member of the Karnataka-Goa Province of the Order of Discalced Carmelites (OCD), is well known for his seminars, workshops and conferences on Prayer in India and abroad. He has a Master’s degree in Sociology from the Karnataka University and Diploma in Teresian and Sanjuanistic Studies from the Centro Internacional Teresiano – Sanjuanista (Avila, Spain). He holds a Diploma from the Institute of Yoga, Santacruz, Mumbai. He has his Licentiate in Spirituality from the Pontifical Institute of Spirituality – Teresianum (Rome) and a Doctorate in Theology with Specialization from the Pontifical Gregorian University’s Institute of Spirituality (Rome). Among his many books are The Bhagavadgita and St. John of the Cross, Meeting in God Experience, Awareness and Union with God, When I cannot Pray, Come to A Lonely Place, Cast Your Net into the Deep, Only One Thing Is Needed, When God Longs for You and Meeting in God Experience. At present he is Regional Superior of the Carmelites in Canada and parish priest of Guardian Angels Parish at down town Vancouver.
