The Book. Part 1: Seeding
Some books you read with impunity; other books should never be read. When a book offers life from a certain death, do you read it? Follow all the instructions for the gift of a prolonged life? Many people would? But if the instructions were for you to kill someone, a loved one. What then? This dark tale shows you how far some people would go for the gift of life.

After his father's funeral, William goes back home to his parent's cottage in a small sleepy village where he grew up to sort out the business and abode, he once thought he would never leave.

His legacy of a cottage and car garage left to him by his parents soon becomes a living nightmare when things keep happening that make no logical sense in this age of realism and not witchcraft. William's partner Kate soon realises there is more than just his father's death going in this sleepy village, and their lives are soon turned upside down with what she discovers. What was supposed to be a few days sorting out the mess left behind by William's father, soon turns into a ghost tale that has them both fighting for their very lives.

The BOOK is a modern-day classic ghost horror story. Joe King's twisted mind leads you on a guessing game, and just when you think you have figured it all out, you would be wrong!

About the Author

Andy was counted into the human population in the year 1969, then began his authorship odyssey in 2017. From there, he has written in several genres ranging from sci-fi, comedy/horror to horticulture and gardening. With his quirky sense of humour/humour, Andy incorporates this in his fictional storylines and prides himself on producing original, fun, and sometimes outrageously funny plots, characters, and themes, also intertwining characters throughout different books and series.

Andy’s love of horror films, the supernatural and the strange and unusual bore about his passion in writing his fictional works in his own unique style of storytelling and also writes under his pen name, Joe KING, which he primarily uses for his fictional works.

A private person, Andy dislikes social media, loud people, reality Tv, know-it-all’s, notoriety and avarice and prefers an insular sedate quiet life tapping away on his laptop. A long-term panic attack & monophobia/autophobia sufferer, writing for Andy has become a medication for his mental health issues. Leaving education with no qualifications, self-publishing has been a huge learning curve which Andy will aspire to continue to create books he enjoys writing and will continue to learn and grow as an author. His life-long passion for nature, gardening and the natural world has inspired him to write his horticultural & gardening books.

(Self-publishing on a budget of zero is not something Andy recommends, but for him, it's either that or don’t publish! Designing and editing his own works is not ideal but in a world with more problems than trying to contain a fart in a colander, what is ideal?)

Growing up in the eighties, Andy’s favourite music is from this decade and his favourite foods are, liquorice, chocolate, cheese and a Ye Old English bag of chips.
