Here is the shortest summary of history I know complete with evidence and analysis. The only thing required to understand is interest. Written by Enoch in his time is the story from the First Age of the world. Later, Moses recounts the same facts. First, we learn gods, demi-gods and mortal men ruled in the First Age ending with the clash of the titans. Then, the first beauty and the beast show up in the second Age, ushering in many different world religions. Recorded by Manetho, the keeper of records and his contemporary Berosus about 300 B.C.. Both had access to the library of Alexandria. These are the best records we have outside the Bible.
Most importantly, it becomes obvious how and why most of the world doesn't understand the Bible. And how a Jewish Bible came to be incorporated into so many different religions. We were all born into a trap.
