Overview

The Chosen are gaining power, followers, and notoriety, but the more they are revealed, the more dangerous their path becomes.

The Outcast: Wren is left in control of a large group of Protectors; she knows she has a responsibility to them, but can't seem to figure out how to lead them. And, worse yet, her father is in their ranks.

The Changed Man: Halimaldie attempts to infiltrate and destroy a group of corrupt religious leaders in a slum town called Coon's Rest. As his powers grow he's bewildered by his capabilities. And a little scared of them, too.

The Soldier: Krothair learns what it means to be a true Servitor as he travels south to fight Foglins and try and find Ti'Shed's dead son. But the Vaporgaard isn't the glorious force it was half a century ago; instead it is full of hopelessness, corruption, and betrayal.

The Woman of Vengeance: Allura finds herself at the head of one of the deadliest armies the world has ever known: the Trirenese Ji'shonta. When she begins to suspect that Darkmore is sabotaging the mission, she doesn't know where to turn. As the evidence against him grows, Allura finds herself running out of allies she can trust.

The Mountain: Otom's quest leads him to Benshar, the city of lights. And when his old martial arts master, Silence, shows up, Otom finds more answers than he even knew he was looking for.

And through it all the world of Raath rests on the edge of destruction.
