She truly understands the science behind each treatment, and her intelligent reviews testify to the depth of her scholarship. Freeman’s wide breadth of knowledge, personal experience, and brutally honest writing makes this title the best autism reference book for both parents and professionals.
• Answers questions and concerns voiced a thousand times by parents about various treatments
• Provides scientific evidence that compares all the treatment options available for autism today
• Find the best treatment for your child!

“It is also noteworthy that Dr. Freeman is the parent of a 21 year-old daughter with autism, and holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from Stanford University, where she specialized in small group research… Dr. Freeman shares her perspectives as a mom, which further contributes to the authenticity of this book, and may appeal to parents who may be more amenable to the cautionary words of one who walks in their shoes…. The book is comprehensive, thoroughly researched, and well organized… Parents of children with autism, particularly those with newly diagnosed children, face a dizzying array of options that can be absolutely overwhelming…. Fortunately, this book will be of tremendous help.. for Dr. Freeman’s review and description of the available research is presented in a careful, thorough and straightforward manner. Perhaps of greatest significance is that the author is writing from the dual perspectives of professional and parent.”
- Dr. David Celiberti, Ph.D. BCBA-D

“This book is a must read for any parent who has a child with autism, because within its pages lies the unvarnished truth regarding what works and doesn’t work and how to make the distinction.” - Dr. Richard Foxx, Ph.D. BCBA-D
