About the Author

Author Steve Krugman brings a unique combination of background, expertise, and passion to motorcycle education. A professional musician most of his career, he earned a parallel reputation as an accomplished and in-demand teacher and clinician. Music brought him to Los Angeles, and Los Angeles brought him to a life-changing love of motorcycles.

Pairing his gift as an educator with a growing moto obsession was natural. Applying years of experience as a professional motorcycle instructor, he developed Class: M1 Private Motorcycle Training. For well over a decade, the school has introduced legions of safe, happy riders (including many high-profile actors, musicians, and athletes) to the road. The Craft and Art ofMotorcycling is the product of having taught thousands to ride, and the companion to a finely honed curriculum and philosophy of motorcycle instruction.

Benedicte Waryn is an illustrator based in Lille, France. She balances her days illustrating for an extensive clientele, teaching art, and, most important, being a mom.

“As far as I can remember, I believe I have always drawn . . . I don’t think there was a precise moment in which it happened; that’s all I know and love to do. It was essential, like breathing, but I didn’t think I could make it a profession; I didn’t imagine I could be paid to breathe.”

A biker herself—often found traversing Hauts-de-France astride her Royal Enfield Continental GT—she brings singular style and passion to all things motorcycle.

Casey Affleck is an American actor, director, and proud dad. He is the recipient of an Academy Award (Best Actor in a Leading Role) for his performance in the film Manchester by the Sea and an Academy Award nominee (Best Actor in a Supporting Role) for The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.

He’s also starred in Good Will Hunting,Ocean's trilogy, Gone Baby Gone, and Ain't Them Bodies Saints, among many more. He directed the cult classic mockumentary I'm Still Here.

Casey is an avid animal rights activist, and, of course, a badass motorcyclist.
