About the Author

N.R. Mitgang is the former Director of Electronic Publishing and Computer Services for Facts On File Publishers, Inc. (New York). As Director, he created the award-winning CD-ROMs "Facts On File News Digest" and "The American Indian: A Multimedia Encyclopedia." "The American Indian" was the first electronic information system available to researchers at the National Archives, Washington, D.C.

Mitgang has more than 50 years of multimedia experience in television, radio, stage, film, books and all forms of electronic publishing. His experience includes work as an acquisitions editor for Grosset & Dunlap, author's agent and author. His writing credits include: co-author, "Mr. Bojangles" (William Morrow Publishers, 1988); co-writer, "I Knew the Man Bojangles" (WNBC-TV, New York, 1989); playwright / lyricist, "Bojangles" (The AMAS Repertory Theatre, New York, 1976); co-author, "The Mirror Lied: One woman's 25-year struggle with bulimia, anorexia, diet pill addiction, laxative abuse and cutting;" author, "Bethann: Love creates a will to survive." He has also served as a consultant or historical contributor to The Smithsonian Institution, New York City Archives and The National Archives.

Malcolm Kushner, "America's Favorite Humor Consultant," is an internationally acclaimed expert on humor and communication. Since 1982, he has trained thousands of managers, executives and professionals how to gain a competitive edge with humor. His clients include IBM, Bank of America, Aetna, Infosys, American Bar Association and American Medical Association.

Kushner is the author of "The Light Touch: How to Use Humor for Business Success" (Simon & Schuster), "Public Speaking For Dummies" (Wiley Books) and "Presentations For Dummies" (Wiley Books) which has sold over 100,000 copies.
