About the Author

Robert Hudson Vincent is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the English Department at Davidson College. His writing has appeared in a variety of scholarly journals, including Modern Language Notes, Modern Language Quarterly, Early American Literature and Critical Inquiry. His research has been supported by a Mellon Fellowship in English Paleography at the Folger Shakespeare Library, the Villa I Tatti Graduate Fellowship for Renaissance Studies, the Bowdoin Prize for Best Graduate Essay in the English Language at Harvard Universityand the Morehead-Cain Scholarship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
