What is the story of my life, you ask?

Alcohol, abuse, trauma, death, and depression bedeviled me from childhood's hour.

I was born to alcoholic parents who paid little heed to the activities of their children, leading each of us to choose a life of our own – a life that led my eldest sister to overdose on methadone before another man ruthlessly devilled her. My younger sister faced a similar fate as she succumbed to drugs and sex, leading to chronic mania.

This is the story of my life; this is the story of my family and everything we have been through.

It has been nothing but an overcoming journey, breaking the chain of generational suffering at the hands of hedonistic pursuits.

About the Author

Kellie Paradiso is a 27-year-old physician assistant student born and raised in Long Island, New York. She is a wife, a mother, a beloved daughter, and a sister. She is a first-generation college student who graduated from SUNY Old Westbury with a bachelor’s degree in biology. For years she has dreamt of having the strength to speak the truth about her childhood and the trauma she endured that strengthened her and to provide a safe space for other individuals experiencing similar circumstances. Kellie has dedicated her life to helping individuals physically, spiritually, emotionally, and mentally from all walks of life, hoping to empower those who wish to speak their truth by providing them a voice.
