As the saying goes, it takes all kinds to make the world go around. That seems to be the case for a vast majority of taxi drivers in New York City. All kinds of nuts any way in my opinion. I take a cab every where I need to go. They are quicker than the broken down subway system and even if they are more expensive, I generally can feel confident that I will get to where I want to go.
So far, after living in the City for five years after graduating from college and landing a good job on Wall Street, I haven't been robbed by a taxi driver. I've been with a few drivers who liked to talk to themselves while driving. They got some answers too that I couldn't hear. No one could – except the crazy drivers.
