The Gift
The Gift is a short story of the nativity as seen through the eyes of Daniel, an energetic, seven year old that eagerly waits for Christmas. He is joined by a strange, silent, homeless boy, who mysteriously shows up in the front of Daniel's house one Christmas Eve. While waiting for the police, both boys are transported back in time to witness the events that lead up to the birth of the Christ child. They encounter historic figures such as Zachariah and Elizabeth, Gabriel the arc angel, Herod, Joseph and Mary and of course the Christ child. The boys are protected behind a veil that conceals their appearance until the birth of the Christ child, when all, including their appearance, is now revealed.
