About the Author

Lizzie Jayne lives in the small village of Lowdham, Nottinghamshire, with her husband Andrew and two children, Isaac and Emily. As a young child, Lizzie always loved reading books, allowing the stories to whisk her away and fuelling her creative mind. Our imagination is a precious gift and something we should each use and nurture. Lizzie works in sales and marketing by day, but in her spare time, she works hard looking after her family, writing, choreographing dances for the local pantomime, and volunteering and fundraising for the local communities, to help make a difference to people's lives. Following an unusual dream, where she received a gift of her own, Lizzie wrote a short script around the experience and produced a simple play. After receiving requests from many parents, she converted the story of The Gift into book form. Using her own childhood experiences, and integrating her strong Christian faith into her writing, Lizzie's aim is to bring inspiration, joy, and hope to many children. Lizzie started her writing career later on in life, and it wasn't something she was expecting, but she lives by the motto, "It's never too late to follow your dreams"... literally.
