About the Author

Peter B. Kyne was born in San Francisco on October 12, 1880. He began his career as a reporter and journalist in 1905. When his first novel, published in 1913, was a huge success, he left journalism and embarked on a remarkable career as a novelist and screenwriter. He died in the city where he was born in 1957.
