Overview

Drumtara a mythical place where witches, wizards and magical creatures lived in harmony together until they were deceived by an evil warlock who waged war upon Drumtara. Thomas Roberts's birth father instructed two loyal guardians to take the child to the human world to hide and protect him.

A young Mary Jane Roberts, just widowed and broken-hearted, finds herself following a strange image that mysteriously leads her to a newborn baby laid in the barley field on Hog Hill Farm. Unable to find the child's mother, Mary Jane Roberts names the child Thomas Roberts and claims him as her own.

Unknown to Mary Jane Roberts, the two guardians from the mythical world disguised themselves as a farmhand and a maid with the intention of staying close to Thomas Roberts and protecting him from the beasts that would be sent to destroy the child.

About the Author

I was born in Northern Ireland in 1973; my education was poor and my growing up was difficult. I joined the British army when I was 18; one of the reasons was to leave the troubles in Northern Ireland and seek a better life. I served for 22 years; after leaving the forces I joined the NHS as an Emergency Care Assistant, working on the front line A&E. I am still on the front lines with the Yorkshire Ambulance Service, a job I am very proud to do.

In 2021 after gaining my level 2 English qualification, I felt compelled to write, I wrote DRUMTARA...The Guardians Of Thomas Roberts, This is my first ever attempt at writing, I really loved writing this book, The story is fictional, with witches, wizards, and magical, I focused on my Irish background and Irish mythology; however, the storylines and characters have personal connections.

The story is amazing and is written from the heart; please read it, I hope you enjoy it as much as I have written it. My storytelling has continued, and I'm writing the 2nd book.
