About the Author

Jay Hammond saw his first collegiate wrestling match in December 1962 after matriculating at Lehigh University. He has been a ?fan of the sport ever since. For the past 25 years he has been studying the history of collegiate wrestling and much of his research is available at www.wrestlingstats.com. He is co-author of History of the EIWA Championships, president of the National Wrestling Media Association and a consultant to the National Wrestling Hall of Fame and the National Wrestling Coaches Association. He lives in Gotha, Florida with his wife Galina and two red-foot tortoises, and works as an independent database applications developer.
