About the Author

Mel Eichelbaum was born in New York City, moved around a lot as a child, and finally came to Texas when he was nine years old. He graduated from Jefferson high school, received his Associate in Arts degree from San Antonio College, and graduated cum laude from St. Mary's University, receiving a Bachelor in Business Administration. He then attended the University of Texas Law School graduating with a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1967. After serving in the United States Army, he began his legal practice with the Bexar County Legal Aid Association.
