The Life and Legacy of Willis Boone, Sr.
By: Marie B. Jackson-Peoples

Willis Boone Sr. was a husband and father to five children. He was a strong man mentally and physically and was the head of Marie B. Jackson-Peoples' family. Whatever happened in their household, good or bad, he took ownership. Boone was a Christian man, who had faith in God. He made his children feel important, loved, and appreciated and enjoyed his rural living, especially farming. He had a passion for raising beautiful farm animals and harvesting crops in the fall. His silhouette is still standing in the fields today.
