Our book drive is in honor of Micki and Mason, the sister of our dear friend Jessica Hobbs, who left behind a 3 year old daughter and husband when she, and her unborn son died from AFE during child birth in 2013.
The SFE Foundation does not receive giant grants from the government... they depend on donations from the public, but the work they do is so very important. on top of funding research into early prevention of AFE, they also show up in a family's darkest hour to help keep them fed and taken care of when they're barely able to put one foot in front of the other, having just suffered an unimaginable loss. Leading up to the Covid Lockdowns, we held an annual benefit raising 10 - 15k for them, but have been unable to gather all the resources to continue since 2020. It's our goal to make up for that lost time and raise 50,000! That's a over-whelming task that can not be done without the help of citizens like you.
