Overview

W. W. Jacobs's macabre classic, "The Monkey's Paw", is reprinted in this carefully reworked version by Ralph Lagana, Jr.

A modest level of exposition and narration has been added to the story allowing it to dovetail more smoothly with two original Monkey's Paw stories, "The Monkey's Tale" and "The Monkey's Claw".

Included in this Nook edition: a brief biography of William Wymark Jacobs and numerous focus questions for classroom or Reader's book club use.

About the Author

I live in West Hartford, Connecticut only a few miles in either direction from the homes of Mark Twain and Noah Webster. I work contentedly as an educator for the Town of Glastonbury. When I am not at work, I do what I can to help my remarkable -and she is remarkable- wife raise our children.

The Monkey's Paw Trilogy was never something I set out to create. It is an unexpected creation, the result of a decade-long question and a serious bout of insomnia. If that's simply too cryptic for you, consider reading the Author's Foreword from The Monkey's Paw Trilogy using Amazon's Look Inside feature.

As this moment, my second work of fiction -The Most Dangerous Game: A Taste for Game has gone on sale. You can purchase that copy or read sneak a peek by purchasing my edited version of The Most Dangerous Game.

I've written several freelance articles for the role-playing magazine Knights of the Dinner Table published by The Kenzer Company. For three years, I had the pleasure of working as a guest columnist for the sports website IDPBlitz . When I am not working on my books, I periodically write articles for my professional blog: http://readingteacherct.blogspot.com/.
