Mihaela S. Hegstrom was born in Bucharest, Romania. She studied at the Technical University for Civil Engineers – Department of Mechanical Engineering in Bucharest, and earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering as well as a Teaching Certificate. In 1979 she moved to the United States along with her family, where she married Robert Hegstrom. She and Robert live in a suburb of Chicago and have two grown children. Chicago and have two grown children. Mihaela works as a high school substitute teacher. She is also the author of GRACE AND TRUTH, which is also written in Roumanian language, with its version being published in Romania, under the title of Har si Adevar. And the roumanian version of The Mysteries of my Soul is under the title of Tainele Sufletului Meu. She is also the author of Praises in the Storm. She wrote both it and the current volume first in Romanian language under the title Laude in Furtuna.
