This book talks about a mysterious creature called Luca, he had no friend or siblings to play with but one day he came across a creature like him which later became his friend. His parent never allowed him to go to the surface [land] to protect him from the fishermen but he had been going to the surface to play with his friend but one day his parent caught him and wanted to send him to the deep but he ran away from the house and went to stay with is friend on the surface.
Luca had never regretted having a friend like him even though he betrayed him once because they have been benefiting from each other.
This book teaches how to value friendship.
