In Book 1 of the series we meet our characters as they travel the sea, their past catching up forces them into a hasty decision that spells ruin. Beached and alone Cirus searches for his friends, stumbling across natives as he does. Together they seek any survivors before deciding to head north, unsure of what to do next. As they travel we are reintroduced to a world unseen for centuries, new and wonderous things catching the eyes of our characters.
Yet the world remains a mystery, dangers lurk for the outsiders, strange people bring strange information. Cirus must keep his surviving friends together, unsure of who to trust in this strange world. We follow him on his journey with Aoibhe, the native who helped them, the only one Cirus will trust, as they seek the kings of the world in hope of finding an answer on how to get home.
