Based on the final Wizard of Oz book, this audiobook focuses on Rain, the green granddaughter of Elphaba, who fell from the sky in Maracoor with no memory of who she is. An army invades, and Rain takes advantage of the confusion to break Cossy, a child murderer, out of prison and set off on a quest for guidance from the oracle. Many characters return as Wise seamlessly continues the saga of Rain. She builds upon Cossy's increasing assertiveness and takes new characters in stride, including flying monkeys.
