About the Author

Larry Kelley is an established author, educator and strategic communications professional. He has authored ten textbooks on advertising that have been adopted at hundreds of colleges and universities, both domestically and internationally. A professor at the University of Houston, Larry has won numerous teaching awards. Prior to moving into academia, he was an executive at several large advertising firms where he specialized in strategic planning on a wide range of accounts. This is his first children’s book but by no means his last. He hopes you enjoy this wonderfully sweet story of hope, self-acceptance and inclusion.

Colleen Kelley is a creative professional specializing in copywriting and design. As a graduate of Texas State University with nearly seven years of communications experience, she is currently a copywriter for the Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, Texas. She now debut’s her illustrations in this book with her father and author, Larry Kelley.
