About the Author

"Hans J. Michelmann received his Ph.D. from Indiana University. He is Professor of Political Studies at the University of Saskatchewan, Director General of the Canadian Council for European Affairs, and Editor of the Journal of European Integration. He specializes in European and comparative politics, including the politics of the European Community, Canadian politics and European, especially German, politics.
Jack C. Stabler obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Utah. He is currently Professor and Head of the Department of Agricultural Economics at the University of Saskatchewan. His specialization is in regional and rural development. Recent publications focus on benefit-cost methodology, as used to evaluate water resource development projects, and on the role of service industries in the development of regional and rural economies.
Gary G. Storey received his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin. He is currently Professor of Agricultural Economics at the University of xixSaskatchewan, where he specializes in agricultural marketing, trade and policy. Recent publications focus on commodity analysis in grains and oilseeds, including a co-authored study for the Economic Council of Canada on grain market outlook. He has been President of the Canadian Agricultural Economics and Farm Management Society and Councillor to the Agricultural Institute of Canada."
