Everywhere is consumed with fire. Everywhere I turn to in Canaanland is burning hot. The skin of the believers melts away like ice under the scorching sun.
I keep running. Running toward the bright light at the far end of the city. Cries and wails fill my ears.
"Help me!" I hear the screams of women and children. I turn to look; I want to help them. These are my people, but I fall forward to the ground, and I feel the coal-hot ground burn my skin.
My eyes widen, and a scream escapes me.
"Neriah."
"Neriah, it is just a dream."
