About the Author

Christina Briley was born, raised, and still resides in the Greater Boston area. The third of four daughters, she grew up in a large, old house full of books and cats. Her professional resumé is an eclectic one; it includes wedding gowns, belly dancing, textiles, graphics, and making athletic shoe prototypes, as well as writing. An avid ballroom and folk dancer, she is currently working on a non-fiction book about the history of social dance during New England's Industrial Revolution entitled Twirling Jennies.
A few years back, Ms. Briley and her adored second husband downsized from their sprawling, antique, one-time brothel into a condo in a converted textile mill. They have three adult children and welcomed their second grandchild this past summer.
