Overview

In The Remarkable Power of Us, entrepreneur Mark Wilson takes a deep dive into the inspiring idea that the untapped talent in many of the nation's African American communities has much to offer – if it is accessed. Wilson was raised in a public housing project in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Using his upbringing and his years of experience in corporate America and as a successful businessman as guides, he takes the reader on a personal journey laced with methodology that can change the lives of millions. Artfully weaving his own story with a forceful mandate for rethinking individual success, he offers thoughtful insight into the conditions that have held Black communities back, especially in business, and argues for investment in under-resourced neighborhoods. What emerges is a compelling narrative that will serve as a blueprint for elevating communities of color that have been left by the wayside. Wilson's optimism drives this ambitious book. The Remarkable Power of Us forces a fresh way of thinking about who can be the difference and how.
