Overview

In a small village in Mexico lived a young man of humble beginnings, the third of four brothers. They all worked daily in the fields from dawn to dusk, but there was never enough money. The young man decided to go to America, the land of opportunity. There, he worked hard, and eventually was able to open his own restaurant. Business boomed! He became very wealthy and successful. But as the years went by, he felt something important was missing from his life. Love and family. He realized life without love has no real success. So he decided to return home to Mexico to visit his cherished brothers, looking forward to basking in their unconditional love. But his reception was not what he expected, and things didn't turn out exactly as he'd planned...

About the Author

Carole Kastrinos grew up in a large multicultural family with lots of siblings. Living in Montreal, Canada, and New York City, she spoke several languages, including French, Spanish, Italian, Greek, and a couple of dialects. Raised by an overprotective yet loving grandmother who did not allow them to play outdoors much, from the age of eleven Carole began writing stories to entertain the family. Later, she graduated from Queens College, City University of New York with degrees in linguistics and secondary education. She has been an English as a Second Language teacher for over two decades and is dedicated to her students.Carole now lives in Virginia. She and her late husband are the proud parents of four boys and have four grandchildren. Her passions include horses, writing, gardening, and pro wrestling.
