About the Author

George Wilbur "Bill" Reed wrote this diary during his time in Europe during WWI. Jonathan Reed, Bill's great-nephew, was born and raised in southern Virginia in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. His southern, conservative values can be seen throughout his books. He lives in Southern California with his wife, Jeanette, and two stepdaughters.
