Scott Brick skillfully varies his pace and tone to deliver this lighthearted crime drama. He characterizes charming art thief turned FBI informant Nicholas Fox and FBI agent Kate O'Hare in animated voices. As the pair work together, Brick portrays the sexual tension between them with snappy dialogue and innuendo. The main plot involves an FBI scam designed to close down casino magnate Evan Trace's multibillion-dollar money-laundering business. In a related subplot, Kate and her father, Jake, are determined to get even with the Hawaiian mobster who is threatening him. As the story leads to a cliff-hanger of a climax, Brick ensures that listeners will enjoy following the threads of the scams and scammers. G.D.W. © AudioFile 2016, Portland, Maine
