Only together do they hold as a complete work depicting the social, intellectual, existential and altogether absurd conditions of modern religion, its abuses, and its consolations, within the continent's most prominent arena (Spain) for liberal and conservative clash.
The work is the result of the authors self-appointed mission to reconcile three prominent faiths (Judaism, Islam, and Catholicism) out of pragmatic necessity and by pragmatic means, while coming to terms with a ground for practicing his own faith (Catholicism), which a modern intellectual can respect.
