Gwendolyn Cahill, the creator of Detective Swoop, was born in New York City and raised in Mount Vernon, NY. She is retired and lives in East Henrico, Virginia. Gwen graduated from the University of Hartford with a degree B. A. in Mass Communications. She received an M.S. and Advanced Certificate from The College of New Rochelle in Communication Studies. She was a regularly featured writer for the Tatler student-run newspaper. Cahill was born in New York City and raised in Mount Vernon, New York. This former civil servant is well versed in Child Abuse investigations. She is a charter member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority’s Lambda Tau Chapter. She has sung in several choirs in New York, New Jersey, and Virginia. Gwendolyn Cahill is passionate about social justice, human rights, and literary arts. She is a Board Member of the Virginia State NAACP Board Member.
