Overview

The poor d'Artagnan travels to Paris to join the Musketeers. On the way, he encounters and alienates de Roquefort, one of Cardinal Richelieu's spies. He also encounters Lady de Winter for the first time. After entering Paris and speaking with Monsieur de Treville, he suffers several misadventures and, as a result, is challenged to a duel by each of the three musketeers, Athos, Aramis, and Porthos.
